Time and time again we are faced with challenges of life in our decision making. We sometime get confused, lack the knowledge of some kind, or just avoid doing it with the hope that it will take care of itself most time it doesn’t. Some people for a long time avoid making decisions, and when they are forced to make one, its very scurry to them. Among the had decisions that we are faced with is in our careers, our social life, in academics, in finances, in relationships and many others.
There was a Man who lived in the banks of the river Indis, who had a nice farm with orchards and gardens, excess cash, a beautiful wife and children. He was wealthy because he was contended, then an old priest visited him, and one night related how the world was made, including the formation of all the rocks the earth, precious metals and stones. He told the farmer, that if he had a few diamonds he could have not merely one farm but many.
The farmer listened, suddenly he wasn’t that happy with what he had acquired in life. He sold up everything and went travelling in search of diamonds across persian, Palestine, and into Europe. A couple of years later all the money he had was finished, and he wondered around in rags. When a large wave came in from the sea, he was happily swept off.
The man who had bought the farmers land was another story, one day watering his animals in the stream that ran through the property, he noticed a glint in the watery sands, it was a diamond. One of the richest in history, the mines of Golconda had not one or two but hectors of diamonds.
This story teaches us on how to open our minds. Most people are pigmies of their own self, because they are not willing to accept or it hasn’t occurred to them that they have great untouched power. Most time what you are looking for might be just the thing that you are staring at, it doesn’t need a lot of work to be found, its not hidden from you, it doesn’t come in a package. Whatever you desire is probably right at hand, if you are willing to open your eyes and your mind.
Sometimes you have to fulfill your purpose with the aim of making where you are special, towns and cities are cursed because their own people talk them down. We shouldn’t fall in the trap of thinking that what you are looking for is somewhere else.
